Ascend
Ascend, a Common Core–aligned, liberal arts public charter school in Brooklyn, came to us because they wanted to shake up their marketing strategy in order to attract more students and staff. They knew their existing website was difficult to use and stood in the way of this goal.
The first step was to identify all of Ascend’s different audience segments. Our research revealed that there were four target groups, students, parents, teachers, and faculty. The next step was to design and test unique user journeys for each of the different audiences.
No matter how many audiences a brand engages, it must be united behind a single purpose. Accordingly, Ascend’s overarching mission—“A rich and joyful liberal arts education for all”—is embodied by a sophisticated, modern logo, which greets visitors at the top of the homepage.
We created easy-to-follow journeys that address each group’s distinct needs and questions within the cohesive structure and narrative of the website as a whole. We implemented a custom CMS which enables Ascend to update any of these user journeys anytime.
